The World Modern Jive Championships (WMJC) takes place in the stunning Blackpool Tower Ballroom each year.

2027 will kick off with a warm-up freestyle Friday night starting at 8pm giving competitors a chance to experience the thrill of dancing on this iconic ballroom floor. There will also be a fun Dance With A Stranger fun Competition - which takes around an hour.
Enjoy an action-packed weekend of dancing complete with warm-up, head-to-head dancing with awards ceremonies Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Friday night sees the launch of our fun charity competition. It's a fun Dance with a stranger competition to raise awareness and funds for charity. All entry money from this category go to our chosen charity (yet to be decided).
In 2026 we are raising money for Liverpool Zoe's Place and this fundraiser will remain open until later in the year:- 'Modern Jive for Little Lives'
